It can be hard to stay positive especially when you are confronted with situations wherein things seem to go wrong. You arrived late at work even if you managed to leave home early, the copier is acting up just when you really need to use it or you accidentally delete a report that you have been working on for days — and when you thought that things cannot get any worse, it does. For some, it can be considered as ‘minor inconveniences’. But they can really create a negative impact on how we function throughout the day.
We all have days like that, and believe me when I tell you that we will continue to have days like that. We just have to learn how to maintain a positive disposition and make the most out of a ‘crappy day’. It can be a struggle especially when you have been going through tough times for days or months. But know that we are not alone in our struggle and that there are ways in which we can overcome them.
So here’s to a great week ahead. May we all keep the smile on our faces regardless of whatever comes our way.
As we celebrate the Resurrection of Christ, let me share with you an excerpt from the book, The Imitation of Christ :
We are irritated and offended by rash judgments, by calumnies, by being ridiculed, because we consider this unjust and not merited by us.
But let us remember that the judgment of men, whether good or bad, cannot make us better or greater than what we are.
All that really counts is God’s judgment and our state in His eyes.
