I was browsing Sunday’s newspaper ( i know,i know.. it’s already Thursday…but somehow I never got around to reading Sunday’s paper ) when I saw an article about how Jose Rizal’s descendants are using today’s most popular social networking site to commemorate the 150th birthday of the Philippine’s national hero.

According to the article, the Facebook fan page was set up to keep Rizal’s legacy alive. They will feature a quote each day and they encourage everyone to give their thoughts and to share how they are influenced or inspired by the life and works of our national hero.

There are also photos of different monuments of Jose Rizal in the Philippines and in different parts of the world.
